Setting Your Account for the Hunter Skill
Before you go any further, you will need a “Member’s Only” OSRS Account to gain access to the skill. In other words, you need to activate the subscription and unlock the premium content.
Furthermore, we recommend starting the Hunter journey after you gain around twenty levels in your attacking and basic skills. Indeed, to reduce complications, you need ways to defend yourself as you travel between maps. You can grab some OSRS Accounts for Sale and reduce this “waiting” time while getting into the fun stuff.
Old School RuneScape Hunter Guide
Check all the aiding points from this article and learn how to improve the Hunter Skill ASAP. Remember to take your time learning the new stuff and stick to those activities you like the most.
Complete the Hunter Quests
From the start, we suggest finishing some quests that could help you gain experience and elements for the skill. You will have some quests locked, but you will gain access to more options as you increase the Hunter’s level.
Above all, you can skip these activities if you find them tedious and earn experience. Either way, we suggest that you complete these Recommended Quests:
- Bone Voyage
- Eagle’s Peak
- Priest in Peril
- Moneky Madness
Preparing the Item Requirements
The Hunter Skill gives you different ways to grab experience as you try to catch (and use) animals in-game. As a result, the Hunter Tool will change according to your level or the map you want to explore. For example, if you want to catch birds, you need a hammer/chisel, logs, and seeds.
For the previous example, you could travel to Verdant Valley, use the Hammer/Chisel and Logs to build a Birdhouse and place some Seeds inside these structures. After all that work, you only need to wait for a Bird to take a next in your “trap” and grab your new companions.

Working with Your New Pets
One of the greatest ways to use the Hunter Skill is using your companions to gain more experience for your character. For example, you use birds to catch fish or other wild animals. In other words, you use your pets to improve Hunter or Fishing Skills.
As you can already tell, as you improve with this skill, you will earn more ways to check gameplay mechanics and find more interesting things inside Old School RuneScape to pass the time.
Gaining Gold with the Hunter Skill
As you start gaining levels, you will unlock different ways to catch a profit. For example, when hunting for the Herbiboars, you will earn a different herb when interacting with an animal. Hence, you could use these materials to improve the Herblore Skill or sell your findings to other players.
